Tumbbad is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language historical period fantasy horror film directed by debutant Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad.  Anand Gandhi, known for the film Ship of Theseus, brought it together as a creative director.

Watching such movie compels me to believe filmmaking in India has gained a certain level of maturity. I bet you must have never seen a movie like in this genre in Bollywood.

Tumbaad is a spectacular intriguing morality tale which keeps you engaging throughout. The writer and director of this masterpiece have a vision and actors have portraited it brilliantly on screen. A lot of credit goes to the VFX, Makeup and background score as well. This movie is a feast for your eyes with cinematic excellence

This mythological story revolves around the consequences of greed in the human being. In village Tumbbad, We find the son of the late village lord, Vinayak. We follow his intensive search for a secret inherited treasure. He believes his cursed great-grandmother has the answers he's looking for. After confronting her he is now faced with the reality of this treasure, but also its evil protector.




'Soja warna hastar aa jayega' being the famous dialogue of the movie.
